Description
Cave is an informal terracotta stool, designed for outdoor spaces. The choice of a natural material like clay, shaped to become terracotta, and the completely manual workmanship based on the ancient production technique of orci jars used in ancient times to store foodstuffs and wine have inspired the designer Mario Scairato to develop “an object that can exist in symbiosis with nature, tamed or otherwise, but above all can take on charm, ageing and freely braving the elements”. The names for all of Internoitalianos objects are a tribute to minor Italians towns and villages, those that are rarely celebrated, but nonetheless are just as real and representative of a suffused and authentic national identity. Cave is a town and comune in the Latium region of Italy, 42 kilometres southeast of Rome.
